The conference Applied Statistics 2006
is organized by Statistical
Society of Slovenia and
University of Ljubljana in cooperation with
Statistical Office of the
Republic of Slovenia. AS2006 is sponsored by
Slovenian
Research Agency (ARRS).
AIMS AND SCOPE
The annual conferences of methodologists and statisticians were
established in 1982. First conferences were organized in Bled and then
several years in Preddvor and Ljubljana and Ribno. In 2006 the
conference will be organized in Hotel Ribno in a vicinity of the beautiful
Lake Bled.
The main goal of Applied Statistics 2006 conference is to provide an
opportunity for researchers in statistics, data analysts, and other
professionals from various statistical and related fields to come together,
present their research, and learn from each other. A three days
program consists of invited paper presentations, contributed paper sections
from diverse topics, and finishes with a workshop. Cross-discipline and
applied paper submissions are especially welcome.
Selected papers will be published in
Advances in
Methodology and Statistics, a peer-reviewed journal of Statistical
Society of Slovenia.
